Conclusion:
Drop Cigar Club is always putting out unique and quality blends, and this is one I have been wanting to try for a while. The Royal Palms starts out with a plentiful amount of white pepper and cedar, followed by a chocolate nuttiness which transitions into more of a rich chocolate. As the first third makes its way a licorice note enters. A decent start to this blend. The second third continues with the white pepper and chocolate nuttiness, but adds a creamy coffee and baking spice. This has become a very smooth blend and one I am enjoying. As the final third begins a nice fruit note enters – hard to put a name to it but it is a great addition, before it tapers off and coffee, cedar, and white pepper take over. The licorice circles back around to finish this off. Unfortunately the licorice had a bite to it which was not so pleasant. This is a solid blend which I will certainly revisit, but unsure I’d go for a box. Let’s see how this ages.
