Conclusion:

Initial light starts up with a strong leathery note and light hints of pepper. After a few puffs I get this grapefruit esq note, it’s not grapefruit but it reminds me of grapefruit.. which I very much dislike. A few puffs after that subsides and a salty nuttiness becomes apparent, a nice note to arrive. Ash is very flakey at this point early on. As the first third continues I get a stale taste on the back end.. not enjoyable. As the second third begins the flavor profile remains the same, with the retro adding some sweetness to the palate. Further in the leather has increased and the remnants of the grapefruit note returns as well, but this only lasts for a few puffs before a lemon note replaces the grapefruit. Leather, pepper and slight nuttiness is still apparent, too. As the second third whittles down a tasty note of coffee and slight milk chocolate enters the mix, which is a joy to taste albeit the flavor profile up to this point has been rather disappointing. As the final third begins the leather has moved to the back of the profile and the coffee note is not in the forefront, along with the milk chocolate and some cedar. Background notes of lemon and black pepper accompany the leather. Overall this is a cigar I am revisit but in no rush, just not my cup of tea. Final score of an 84.
