The cigars of the Daughters of the Wind Line are handcrafted in Costa Rica at the exclusive IGM Cigars boutique factory in San Jose. These are truly unique cigars combining rare tobaccos. The filler comprises Liguero Dominican Oscuro balanced off with the sweetness of Peruvian Pinar and Dominican Caramello. The binder originates from the factory’s own plantation in the mountains of Costa Rica. These truly exotic leaves are embraced by an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. These full bodied yet complex cigars deliver rich, sweet and spicy notes to the palate.

Conclusion:
Initial light up lights me up with red pepper all over the palate, followed by a very nice caramel creaminess. A touch of cinnamon compliments the red pepper well. The spice is not overwhelming, but certainly apparent. Very nice start. After a half inch or so the spice takes a back seat, though still in the mix, and a malty chocolate enters the already delicious blend. Draw is slightly snug which is likely due to the pyramid head. On the retro I get added maltiness with a touch of coffee. What a blend so far. As the first third continues, the caramel note really steps forward along with cinnamon and milk chocolate. Red pepper is faint but adds a nice back note. As the second third starts the milk chocolate continues to be the prominent note along with caramel and a maltiness, followed up with a tail end brown sugar sweetness. The spice of the red pepper has just about diminished, but the flavor is present on the back end, and a coffee note floats in and out. As the second third progresses the coffee note turns to more of an espresso and moves into the forefront, along with the milk chocolate. Toward the end of the second third a buttered bread note enters and the espresso note leaves, excelling an already excellent cigar. Milk chocolate is less apparent and the red pepper flavor has left as well. As the final third begins the buttered bread is accompanied by the espresso which has re entered, along with a salted cracker and the caramel sweetness. As the final third continues a creaminess returns but this time it reminds me of a glass of milk. Very odd flavor to imagine, but with this blend it works, and works well. This is one of the best cigars I have smoked. Excellently balanced flavors, perfect burn, and a nice medium strength. Definitely a box worthy stick scoring a 97 for me.
