Conclusion:Â
The draw from the start was very plugged unfortunately, so flavor notes were hard to note. The poor draw continued for the first third, even after using a perfect draw. The main notes I got were cedar and citrus peel, with slight pepper. Nothing special, and I’m left with a stale note on the palate. The second half the draw opened up a bit, but still not getting the smoke output I’d like. Muted notes of cedar and citrus, and a velvety feel in the mouth. Not the best. However just before the final third began, the draw opened up and more flavor was produced. Creaminess, pepper, cedar, citrus, and slight milk chocolate round out the final third. Still I get left with a stale note on the palate. As the final third hit, the smoke output finally increased, as the draw opened up significantly. Strong notes of milk chocolate, coffee, and cedar, with undertones of nuts and pepper. Definitely the best third of the three. By the end the wrapped was in pieces but flavors still held up. Unfortunately, due to the issues in the first two thirds, the final score took a hit, but I plan to revisit this in hopes of a better experience.
