Conclusion:Â
This tribute to Jose Seijas starts off with a mix of black pepper and oak, with coffee undertones, and as the first third burns an earthiness blends in before a slight tartness and fruit note enters on the back end. A relatively decent start. The second third changed up and man was it a nice change up. Pedro Martinez would be proud. Strong notes of chocolate covered cherries, creamy hot chocolate, creamy oak, milk chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate. Unbelievably delicious. When I get notes that hit like this I always expect the blend to have to drop, as so rarely do blends stay so good for the entirety, but this one may be the tribute of all tributes. The final third continued with chocolate covered cherries and a creamy oak, with coffee, white pepper on the back end, and as the final third smoked the chocolate transitioned from a creamy milk to a rich dark chocolate with darker fruit notes. Damn freaking good. I certainly can say this is one of the best cigars I have smoked, and certainly worthy of a box. So when these come around get ‘em while you can.
